Dachshund Puppy Health Information

Puppies are vet checked,have vaccinations and are micro-chipped before they leave.We send puppies out with a bag of the dog food that we are using- Fromm 4 star.We ask that new puppy owners have their own vet check the puppy within one week of receiving the puppy.If at any time the owners cannot keep their dog -they are to contact me,the breeder,and give me the option of taking the dog back or re-homing it for them.We do not want any of our dogs going to a shelter.Our dogs are tested for heart and eye problems when clinics are in our area.Our own vet checks for spinal problems.

We like to meet in person,if possible,prospective puppy owners.We like to know if you have previously owned a dachshund,how old any children are in the household,where you live,etc.
We are always available for support to families where we have placed puppies.

The standard dachshund is not nearly as common as it once was and the standard long-haired dachshund is becoming hard to find in Canada.This breed is not only very beautiful and elegant looking but has a loving temperament that is hard to beat.This dog is also a great field dog as well as a family pet.
