• We welcome advertising from reputable dog breeders.

• We are looking for dog breeders who put the health, well-being, happiness and longevity of their dogs and puppies – as well as the satisfaction of their puppy buyers before profit.

If you would like to include your kennel among our list of responsible breeders, the following are the guidelines we follow in determining who is a reputable breeder, and who is not.

Reputable Breeders:

• Love dogs and treat their breeding dogs as members of the family.
• Despise puppy mills, and understand and appreciate our screening process.
• Are experts on their breed(s).
• Are very knowledgeable about health issues in their breed, and take careful measures to ensure that their puppies are healthy and free from hereditary conditions, including:

• Health screening and clearances on breeding dogs.
• Veterinary examination, vaccination and de-worming on puppies.
• Offers a reasonable health guarantee, and stands behind it.
• Home raises puppies, and ensures that puppies are well-socialized.

• Carefully screens potential puppy buyers to ensure that puppies are being placed in capable, committed “forever” homes.
• Offer post-sale support to their puppy buyers.
• Behave in a professional manner in all dealings with the public, other breeders, and the staff of our service.
• Are able to offer solid references from sources such as their veterinarian or past puppy buyers.
