Bouvier des Flandres Puppy Health Information
At Windmolen Bouviers, we are very selective and experienced in our breeding program, producing just a few very special litters each year. We take extra care to ensure that each of our puppies is beautiful and healthy, and we handle each pup from birth to produce a well-socialized dog that is a pleasure to own. We carefully screen our dogs for health problems prior to breeding, and all puppies are vet-checked and vaccinated before they are placed in their new homes, and we offer a health guarantee against congenital defects.

Our Commitment to Our Bouvier des Flandres Puppies
The health, happiness and well-being of every puppy that we bring into the world is our foremost concern, and we are careful to screen potential buyers to ensure that they are able to provide a proper home for one of our Bouviers. This includes having a thorough knowledge of the Bouvier breed, as well as the time, energy and space to devote to these special animals. Our puppies are well socialized, and our adult dogs, while fiercely protective, are docile and loving with people they are introduced to by their owners. We won't have a dog with a nasty disposition around. Our dogs are wonderful with children.
The Bouvier des Flanders breed originated in France and Belgium. These large, beautiful and highly intelligent dogs were initially used to herd cattle and drive them to market. During the two World Wars, the Bouvier served as an army dog, exhibiting outstanding loyalty and bravery carrying messages under fire and hunting out wounded soldiers. Bouviers were brought to North America in the 1930's, and have proven to be excellent guard dogs and family pets. Bouviers do exceptionally well in most environments - their only requirements are lots of love, daily brushing, some basic grooming and plenty of exercise.
